Kingstowne Daycare

Kingstowne Daycare was established in 1993 by Nazneen Ahmed.  Having one young boy and one young girl of my own, I know how hard it is to find someone you can trust to care for your children while you can't be there.  The aim of this home based daycare and preschool is to give parents the peace of mind to go to work knowing that their child:  

• Is in a safe and loving environment
• Is HAPPY!
• Has plenty of space to run and play outside
• Is being served mostly organic food at meals and snacks
• Is learning Preschool
• Is being encouraged to develop emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially
• Is learning to solve problems, be independent, and building self confidence and self esteem
• Is learning a foreign language while playing!
• Is getting plenty of love and attention
• ls having fun and probably won't want to leave at pick-up time!

To achieve this:

• I am Fairfax County, VA Licensed
• I am CPR/First Aid Certified for infants and children
• Member of the Child Care Network Kingstowne
• Member of the Virginia Alliance of Family Child Care Associations
• I take part in the Fairfax County, VA Food Program and serve mostly ORGANIC food.
• I love working with children, and I think it shows in how I treat the children and how they act around me
• I have a fun preschool program which teaches children all they need to know for Kindergarten
• I believe in working with parents and have an open door policy
• I have a list of past and present parents who will be very happy to tell you about my daycare.
• We give daily updates so that you can see what your child did during the day.
• We have professional pictures taken about every 6 months which are free for the parents.

We care for newborns right up to 6 years of age, on a full time, part time, and drop in basis. 

Who We Are

Kingstowne Daycare primary purpose is to help children grow intellectually , creatively, socially, physically, and spiritually in a Homely and Safe environment.

The activities introduced are based on the philosophy that children learn best through active exploration, creative expression, and manipulation of concrete (hands-on)  materials. Recognizing that children learn very differently than adults do, we feel children will only comprehend a concept if it is meaningful to the child. Everything a child experiences throughout the day is a part of his/her total education. In these early years, concepts of oneself and others are formed. Therefore, our focus is to create an atmosphere in which children feel competent in their achievements while they integrate new life skills into their daily lives.
